As of t2/15/202  The facebook page for Mireya will no longer be.. Mireya is happy, healthy & well adjusted. That is ALL I have ever wanted. The website has been turned over to my brother as he wants to keep it up in case Mireya see's it.I'm going to archive the group & will be deleting it soon.Ruth & Mireya are happy and if she (Ruth) wants to reach out to me she knows how to reach me. I so wanted to somehow be a part of her life but alas it is not meant to be at this point in time. -Britt

Website makeover done. All pages are now updated. Just waiting on a couple of more documents. Will update the FB page when I have them and they are added. All new page counters were added as the old one's recycled one a page got 1,000 visitors. These new counters have no limit.

Hi, I saw the website address and was intrigued. I went to the website and read the story. After that I made it my mission to help some how. I ended up finding these pictures of Mireya on a social media site. I don't know if you know who the person with her is. I will keep looking for more public pictures. I will as you have stated before on the website not bother any member of the Bacani family. Please let me know if I can be of further assistance with anything.

It's been just over 3 years now since you were taken from our lives. As much as we would love to somehow see you grow up, we sadly have not been given this opputunity. We can't help but wonder what has gone on in your life. In a few days you will have your 4th birthday. Are you having a party? Is there a theme? What do you like? Are you having friends from school? What grade are you in now? How tall are you? Are you happy? Has your mom told you about us? Do you ask her? So many questions. Maybe one day we will get answers. Until then please know we love you and think of you every single day. Until we see you again we love you.

 

 

We received a private message thru the Missing MIreya face book page last night asking a couple of very specific questions that we would like to address.

1 Where exactly where in Manila Ruth & Mireya are

2 Names and information about Ruth's family (we assume so they could send them messages etc. )

3rd Does the Filipino Embassy know about Mireya's case?

4th Are there any current pictures of Mireya?

5th Has Ruth reached out to anyone in the family?

With regard to the first 2 Let's make this perfectly clear. This page has NOTHING to do with Ruth's family. We feel no need to drag them thru the mud. There is NO reason what so ever anyone but those closely involved in the case to know either Ruth's location or her family information. Agree or disagree but this is how we have chosen to handle things.

With regard to the embassy, yes they are very familiar with Mireya's story.

As far as pictures of Mireya 99% of the time any pictures we see we DO NOT share pictures of her with the public or put them on social media.

And to answer #5 Sadly, no. We wish she would, but it has to be her choice. We can say it's not a trap or anything but we guess in her eyes who are we to believe.

So this was supposed to be posted a couple of days ago but for some reason the site used to make it would not let it upload. Seems to be working today. Soit's getting posted today!

 

Many of you on our facebook page have asked for updates. I know its been forever. We have been waiting on some important information and conformation. We got that news today. Mireya has been seen and visited with in person by a VERY trusted source. It has been confirmed 110% that she is stable, loved, and being well taken care of. This is a good thing honestly. Unless something major happens updates will be even more few and far between probably. Please do not ask details on this. We will not be going into them. We will currently NOT be pursuing the opportunity we were given to have an orginazation retieve Mireya. With the visit information we just feel that at this point in time it is NOT in her best interest to remove her from her current enviroment. I know that this is hard to understand for some people. It was a difficult choice to make. However the #1 priorty has and ALWAYS will be Mireya. The sharing of any further details will be up to Brooks. We thank you all for your love and support. 

Thank you to the person that sent us this photo. We are not sure when it was taken, but believe it to be recent. E-mail simply said your daughter Mireya. Unknown where it came from but we are grateful.

Sorry for the lack of updates. We are still waiting to hear back from an orginazation that that specializes in getting children back from the Phillipines and other countries like it. We've submitted all the paperwork and talked with a lawyer about this. Now we just have to wait to hear back to see what the options are. We want to do this legally and without any harm to Ruth or her family. Other than that the only thing new is the poster on the front page. Which I will post here as well. Feel free to share it.

After talking to FBI and Missing and exploited children and other organizations we are going to hold off on releasing any new information, pictures, or flyers for right now. We may not be able to get her on abduction charges in the Philippines but...... Enjoy every day with your family in the Philippines Ruth. Enjoy it. Wouldn't want you looking over your shoulder. Lol

A year has come and gone since you were unfairly taken. Words cannot express how much we miss you. We are glad that we for sure know where you are now and that you are safe.

As of 12/31/16 All updates to the website will be announced here. Ive merged the home page and Mireya's story into one page. It just didn't make sense to have 2 parts of the same story. Im in the process of adding a page counter to every page. It's just me (Britt) doing the website so please bare with me. I have NO previous website design knowledge and this whole HTML/code thing is way beyond me. I'm trying to figure out how to make videos and links etc work without having the whole darn website address there. If anyone can help me with this please let me know. My brother & mom have access to the facebook page for Mireya but this website is ALL me so please be patient with me.

I have a few more documents I need to read again & decide if I am going to put them up here or not. ANything that might look bad on either Brooks or Ruth's side I'm hesitant to put up. The point of this site is NOT to bash either one of Mireya's parents. It's to get her back.  By get her back we mean get her back in our lives. Not take her away from Ruth and have Ruth charged etc. What good would that do Mireya? A child needs both her parents. 

So far 13327 N 5th St2016 has been a pretty shitty year for our family. Hoping 2017 will be better. I guess Brooks has reached out to Ruth via e-mail but gotten nothing back. Sad. Anyway I hope everyone has a great evening and we will see you in the new year. -Britt
